Helen H. Hamada

Oahu-At-Large

Why are you running for office?

  • After the Janus vs. AFSCME decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, we need to push harder to advocate for our rights and benefits.
  • Hold our elected officials accountable
  • Initiate changes in this Union to better serve our members: Legal Advisory Programs, more involvement with AFSCME and its programs.

What are your goals?

• Involve our membership in decisions that affect all our members
• Increase efforts to educate our members in community and activism in Legislative Action
• Discuss decisions with our elected officials that would affect membership
• Find creative ways to involve members in our union
