More than 350 delegates attended HGEA's 19th Biennial
General Assembly at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa
in Kona May 14-17, 2008.
This year's theme is "Transition - Inspiring Our
Leaders for a New HGEA."
As the highest governing body of the union, the General
Assembly convenes every two years. During the three-day
proceedings, delegates consider amendments to the HGEA Charter
& Bylaws, establish union policies and set forth direction
for the organization.
All resolutions and amendments approved at the General Assembly
will be on the website and published in the next issue of
The Public Employee.
